The wireless internet signals in my Cleveland apartment were weak, but I could sometimes get a decent signal if I put my laptop on top of the refrigerator.

Mark, now that you've addicted this fridge to the internet, how will it survive when you've moved on? Who will buy this fridge a laptop and log it in regularly?
